Waffles topped with strawberries blueberries and whipped cream

  • 2 cups all-pupose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1¾ cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Waffle Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Set aside:
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 2 cups bluberries


  1. Preheat waffle iron. Sift flour, baking powder,salt into large bowl. Beat eggs until fluffy with a beater. Make a well in the flour; pour milk, eggs, and butter into the well; mix just until smooth. Spray preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour mix onto hot waffle iron. Cook until golden brown. Cook all the waffles and set aside. Preheat the oven to 350°.

  2. In a small saucepan, whisk together the flour and sugar. Add the milk and set the stove heat to medium. Whisk smooth and continue stirring or whisking frequently as it cooks. Continue cooking until the sauce begins to bubble and has thickened. Remove pan from the heat, add the butter and vanilla and stir to combine

  3. ASSEMBLE: Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray. Place a layer of waffles on the pan; spread a layer of sauce on the waffles. Layer on top of the sauce ½ of the strawberries and blueberries. Top with another waffle, spread the rest of the sauce on the waffles. Top with the remaining strawberries and blueberries. Bake 20 minutes. Serve topped with whipped cream.
