As a Colorado Springs area lodging accommodation our location is ideal  for vacations in the Pikes Peak region, centrally located to area attractions.The beauty of the inn lends itself to  romantic getaways or a Colorado honeymoon, an anniversary , a girls weekend, a family reunion, group gatherings, or a birthday party.  Because of the retreat type atmosphere for adults, children under 12 are accommodated only in our Lower Carriage House.

The turn of the century architecture  speak of its 1886 origins, but all the amenities and recent renovations are meant for today’s guests. Following check-in, you can stroll our lawn and gardens before deciding on one of many restaurants within walking distance in the National Historic District of Manitou Springs.  The cool evening air at the foot of the Colorado Rocky Mountains may entice you to enjoy our outdoor hot tub before being cradled in one of our very comfortable beds.  Or you may prefer a soak in a claw-foot tub, then enfold yourself in a luxurious towel and robe enjoying a cup of tea and  cookie.

Refreshed in the morning, descend the central turned staircase to enjoy that first cup of coffee in one of our parlors where you may enjoy a picturesque view.  Then join us on the porch for summer breakfast!  Your innkeeper is a prize-winning baker, so along with an outstanding muffin and fruit dish, that’s just the beginning.  A nutritious entrée and side will delight your taste and give you energy for a day of activity.  Home-made cookies are available in the afternoon as well as other snacks.

The Avenue Hotel Bed and Breakfast offers spacious beautifully appointed guestrooms, all with private baths. Unique updated décor and family heirlooms add charm and distinction to the Inn. Rooms have king and queen beds, sitting areas, and a variety of views.  Two large parlors invite you to relax; in front of the fireplace or enjoy the bay window with mountain views. . An outdoor garden hot tub is on the back patio, hot tub towels are provided.

 Part of our historic property is a 2-unit Carriage House with fully equipped kitchens that offer additional space and privacy for family vacations or extended stays. Both units are one bedroom with queen beds. The Upper Carriage House opens to a living room with black iron gas stove fireplace. This unit has a bath with claw-foot tub/shower, and the kitchen dining area has mountain views.  The garden level Carriage House sleeps 4. A trundle bed is neatly arranged in the living room, which provides extra seating as well as comfortable sleeping. The kitchen dining area looks out on the flower garden. The large, bright bath features a claw-foot tub/shower.
